Poulenc's popular work, 'Gloria', is a piece full of rhythmic vitality and 'catchy' motives. In the same programme Banbury Choral will be performing Parry's Ode ' Blest Pair of Sirens'. This is a fine melodious work, romantic in style, showing the composer of 'Jerusalem' at his very best.
